So I wasn't too sure how this experience would turn out.
My experience: First of all my good friend recently done a photo shoot with Foxy Boudoir and i was totally amazed with her photos and what she had to say. I decided to call i was a little worried at first since I'm not ripped and i knew at some point in my shoot that well most of my clothes would be coming off. I decided to call after a few days of thinking about it and arranged a consultation.
I didn't know that area of town well so I arrived quite early and a total shock to me that they called Jess in early. First great impression ~ that the staff will go the distance for clients even though I was totally willing to wait. From the moment Jess arrived at the studio for my consultation and we started to discuss many things from favorite color to my choice of drinks i knew I was going to have a great time. We spent over an hour I believe sitting down and discussing what would happen in the photo shoots, price packages and well just getting to know each other. The worst part was that i had to wait a few weeks between my initial consultation and the photo shoot but that was more my fault with working shift work. The few weeks between i was getting a little nervous and constantly had questions almost daily for Jess but she was great with answering them in a timely matter. Giving me great advice of things to do to get ready.
Since I have a huge troubles with selecting clothes, my roommate and I went shopping for new clothes not only for the photo shoot but to replace my now empty wardrobe after donating five bags of clothes. I realize after shopping for a few days maybe I spent too much, but in the end I do have a pretty amazing wardrobe and well the day before my photo shoot i realized wow I'm totally not choosing what I'm wearing at the shoot. So I packed EVERYTHING. I worked the night shift before my photo shoot and came home to the worst weather. It was windy, dusty and cold but I went to bed hoping that when i woke up the good ole Calgary weather would change. Did it ever it was about fifteen to twenty degrees so i quickly packed up my clothes after about four hours of sleep and raced in. I arrived with enough clothes for a family on a big vacation and well Jess went through and decided what i should wear. Four completely different looks in two hours... Hmmm... Think i had about six looks in about three and a half hours. With a little liquid courage throughout the afternoon and some guidance from Perry and Jess i can honestly say that $500.00 dollars for the end result is totally worth it. My last shoot was coming up and well shorts and underwear is what i was going to wear. Jess said take the shorts off and well I'm not sure my shorts came off any faster in my life. I was totally ready for pictures of me in my underwear. From dressing up to dressing down every minute of my shoot made me feel even better about myself.
A week later five hundred pictures were down to three hundred and then my task of choosing my top pictures. I probably should have purchased pizza for everyone as we spent hours looking at photos and deciding what if they should be in black and white, color or other styles. I couldn't decide on ten pictures. So thankfully i had a few days to decide which pictures i wanted for my portfolio. I know the eighty~six photos that we ended with are all freaken amazing and a job well done for Perry taking the best shots of me. Choosing the top ten pictures to enlarge is probably a harder task then taking off my clothes for the shoot in my underwear. You know when the experience is great for everyone involved when some tears started while watching the slide show of my final eighty~six photos.
If your second guessing or can't decide whether or not to part take in a Foxy Boudoir shoot you should probably just call and do it. I've never felt that sexy until i seen the photos. Just go into the shoot with an open mind and have fun. Cheers Foxy Boudoir and Perry Thompson Photography staff for the awesome experience.
