boudoir photography in Calgary

It has been a very busy summer we have been shooting tons of boudoir sessions.
Most of them brides so we have not been able to post any photos from a lot of them. Now the weddings are coming and going so we can start posting so stay tuned.
here is a sneak peek from a session we did today.

here is what she had to say about her session.

I decided to do a boudoir shoot for my husband for a wedding present. I thought it would be a sexy present for him and a self-esteem boost for myself. Well, I had no idea what I was in for! Not only are we amazed by the pictures but I feel unbelievably sexy in my own skin after this shoot. I showed up for my photo shoot and was instantly pampered! With a drink of choice in my hand, I relaxed while getting my hair and make-up done in the studio, while Jess helped me pick out all my outfits, shoes and jewellery. She has such an eye for what will work with each concept..I didn't have to think at all! All I had to do was relax, have fun and let Perry and Jess do the work! They showed me how to pose, where to look, what to do...they made it so easy! It was such a fun, comfortable and memorable experience!
Thank you!!!

Another Fox at Foxy Boudoir................... Calgary's Top Boudoir Studio

My husband and I have tossed around the idea of getting some photos done for several years. We met Jessica at the Taboo show last October and looked at some beautiful albums she had on display. I decided that it was time to quit thinking about it and do it, so I set up a photo shoot of myself for my husband’s 40th birthday present. I had no idea what to expect, but gathered up some lingerie, cowboy boots, some of his fishing gear and other misc props & clothes and went down to the studio. I was nervous but kept an open mind and trusted Perry and his team. I told them that they couldn’t just put me in front of the camera and tell me to act sexy. They didn’t. Between Jessica and Perry, they guided me through the entire shoot with humor and professionalism. Within an hour I was laughing my head off and comfortable with whatever they suggested. I had a lot of fun that day and I wish I had a reason to do it again! They made me look and feel beautiful! Out of the 800 or so pictures he took, Jessica and Angie (Miss ‘Nobody has Junk’) picked 40 or so and put together a fantastic album. I surprised my husband with it on his birthday and he loves it! It now sits on his bedside table and is viewed on a regular basis. The entire experience from the moment we met Jessica way back in October has been fantastic. This is a really professional yet laid back group of people who obviously love what they do. Thanks Perry, Jess and Angie for everything!!

Foxy's Calgary Male Boudoir............ shoot of the month

A little about me…….. I'm a twenty six year old guy that recently lost about thirty pounds of weight after breaking up with my partner and was having huge issues with my body image and how to look sexy with what i have. 2010 was my year to shine and really enjoy life and i decided to really change things. Getting braces to straighten my teeth, lose weight, get out and enjoy life more with friends and family, getting a puppy, getting a new job, new jeep, buying new clothes since about ninety percent of my clothes didn't fit anymore and finally doing something that really helped with my image and self esteem. Here's where Foxy Boudoir (Perry Thompson Photography) fits in. I was a little hesitant at first... $500.00 for two hours of studio time, and that the website didn't have any pictures of guys unless you looked at the blog.

So I wasn't too sure how this experience would turn out.

My experience: First of all my good friend recently done a photo shoot with Foxy Boudoir and i was totally amazed with her photos and what she had to say. I decided to call i was a little worried at first since I'm not ripped and i knew at some point in my shoot that well most of my clothes would be coming off. I decided to call after a few days of thinking about it and arranged a consultation.

I didn't know that area of town well so I arrived quite early and a total shock to me that they called Jess in early. First great impression ~ that the staff will go the distance for clients even though I was totally willing to wait. From the moment Jess arrived at the studio for my consultation and we started to discuss many things from favorite color to my choice of drinks i knew I was going to have a great time. We spent over an hour I believe sitting down and discussing what would happen in the photo shoots, price packages and well just getting to know each other. The worst part was that i had to wait a few weeks between my initial consultation and the photo shoot but that was more my fault with working shift work. The few weeks between i was getting a little nervous and constantly had questions almost daily for Jess but she was great with answering them in a timely matter. Giving me great advice of things to do to get ready.

Since I have a huge troubles with selecting clothes, my roommate and I went shopping for new clothes not only for the photo shoot but to replace my now empty wardrobe after donating five bags of clothes. I realize after shopping for a few days maybe I spent too much, but in the end I do have a pretty amazing wardrobe and well the day before my photo shoot i realized wow I'm totally not choosing what I'm wearing at the shoot. So I packed EVERYTHING. I worked the night shift before my photo shoot and came home to the worst weather. It was windy, dusty and cold but I went to bed hoping that when i woke up the good ole Calgary weather would change. Did it ever it was about fifteen to twenty degrees so i quickly packed up my clothes after about four hours of sleep and raced in. I arrived with enough clothes for a family on a big vacation and well Jess went through and decided what i should wear. Four completely different looks in two hours... Hmmm... Think i had about six looks in about three and a half hours. With a little liquid courage throughout the afternoon and some guidance from Perry and Jess i can honestly say that $500.00 dollars for the end result is totally worth it. My last shoot was coming up and well shorts and underwear is what i was going to wear. Jess said take the shorts off and well I'm not sure my shorts came off any faster in my life. I was totally ready for pictures of me in my underwear. From dressing up to dressing down every minute of my shoot made me feel even better about myself.

A week later five hundred pictures were down to three hundred and then my task of choosing my top pictures. I probably should have purchased pizza for everyone as we spent hours looking at photos and deciding what if they should be in black and white, color or other styles. I couldn't decide on ten pictures. So thankfully i had a few days to decide which pictures i wanted for my portfolio. I know the eighty~six photos that we ended with are all freaken amazing and a job well done for Perry taking the best shots of me. Choosing the top ten pictures to enlarge is probably a harder task then taking off my clothes for the shoot in my underwear. You know when the experience is great for everyone involved when some tears started while watching the slide show of my final eighty~six photos.

If your second guessing or can't decide whether or not to part take in a Foxy Boudoir shoot you should probably just call and do it. I've never felt that sexy until i seen the photos. Just go into the shoot with an open mind and have fun. Cheers Foxy Boudoir and Perry Thompson Photography staff for the awesome experience.

Foxy's Hottie Miranda wrote about her Boudoir Experience.......

If you had asked me even a month ago, would I consider getting sexy photos done? I would have gotten very uncomfortable, mutter I don't think so and my scottish genes would fail me completely as I would blush from my chest all the way up my scalp.

I came across Foxy Boudoir after being taken to the Taboo Sex Show before Christmas and was put on their mailing list after signing up for a draw for fun. I'd get their updates, think "Aren't those pretty" and move along with my day. I'd never put myself in the "fantasy girl" category, I'm more of the suzy-home-maker, girl next door type. But then they sent out a Valentine's news letter promoting their "Little Black Book" special as a gift for your partner and I couldn't bring myself to delete it, checking out their web page numerous times thinking how crazy unexpected something like this would be for my boyfriend, so completely out of my conservative character.

Finally an impulse brought me the courage to call, which was answered by the wonderfully enthusiastic Jessica who helped me through the whole process. Before I knew it I had a consultation with Jess Martin the next day, a photo shoot the next week with Perry and his awesome crew, as well the guarantee that I would have the finished product before Valentine's Day (less then two weeks away at the time).

I can honestly say I've never had more fun in my life. With the fun-hearted staff, and a little liquid encouragement they provided for me, I couldn't believe how comfortable of an environment they created. I easily walked around in a hilarious Naughty Nurse outfit, seductive lingerie and then less, when I usually have about a three month "no-naked/lights-off" rule with new relationships :P Perry was wonderful directing the whole shoot which allowed me to shed away all self consciousness and pushing my already stretched out comfort zone further then I ever thought possible for me. I'd say about half way through all I could think to myself "My goodness this is worth every penny" and realized that this whole experience was far more a gift for myself, and my confidence, than a gift for my partner. I was so excited by then end of the whole thing that I couldn't keep the secret in and told my partner all about his surprise that very evening.

The finished photos were absolutely incredible. I had no idea I could look or feel this way. And my boyfriend absolutely loved it, maybe as much as I do.

I encourage anyone who reads this to do this for yourself, it's hard to explain just how good inside it makes you feel, and how you can see your self in a whole new light. It has been the best impulse I have ever given into, and I honestly wish I could just do it all over again it was so much fun.

So again thank you Perry for helping me to bring out the sexy and beautiful side I didn't know I had in me, to Adam for all your help with your help on set and the wonderful photos you took, to Angie with the amazing hard work you put into photo shopping my pictures to perfection, thank you to Jessica Morgan for the beautiful job on my hair and make-up, and a very special thanks to Jess Martin who from first contact with this company gave me the courage to follow through and give this amazing gift to my self.

Thank you, I love you guys!

Foxy Boudoir's Christmas Kandi has something to say..........

Dear Perry, Angie, and Jessica,

I wanted to take some time today to let you know how much of a positive difference you have all made in my life. Sounds like a big statement for the start of a letter, but ever since I met with you, I have been making bigger and bolder statements regularly!

I loved my comfort zone, in fact I had been loving it for almost 40 years! Mother of 3, wife, homework helper, housekeeper, day home operator, dog walker, you get the picture...sweatpants had become my second skin and a pony tail my best friend. I could always be found doing a crossword puzzle or watching a movie with the kids on a Friday night, and my contribution to a conversation in public started with "hello" and ended there. Oh but I was so comfortable, and happy with my life....until you 3 came along!

My husband and I decided to stroll through the sex show in November, it was Friday and the kids were busy...lol....when we happened to stumble upon your booth showcasing your Boudoir Photography. As I was flipping through the pages of the albums, I felt a little twinge, could I do this? No I thought to myself! BUT …….Jessica has obviously seen this look before………..and proceeded to tell me not just about the women they have photographed but the careful and respectful way they conduct their photo shoots. Perry was there to offer his professional flattery about how great the pictures would look, listening to them made me feel at ease, and certainly interested. Then the next step was coming in to talk about expectations, the studio...& that is when I got to meet Angie.

I had decided before making the appointment that if I was going to do this, it would be a Christmas gift for my husband. So making up a story about Christmas shopping make this meeting just a bit more exciting! The studio was so cool, and Angie was waiting for me to arrive. We sat down together and talked like friends would over a coffee. She showed me some of the collections other women had put together, the work, the pictures, the professional level all blew me away...what was I thinking? I would look just silly trying to do this, I hate having my picture taken in my own home for crying out loud. Being the intuitive artist that she is, Angie talked to me about my expectations, what sort of things I would feel comfortable with, kinds of music I like, what sorts of advertising caught my eye, when all of a sudden I could hear myself actually talking about ME, and I was liking what I was hearing. Angie had managed to help me paint a picture in my head of how I might look with my husbands tie on draped across a bed....and in my head....I looked not too bad. I booked a photo shoot right away!

Another chance to sneak out of the house made for some butterflies the day of the photo shoot, waiting for me at the studio were Perry, Angie and Jessica all very excited and full of support. We did hair and makeup at the studio, I looked at myself in the mirror and felt incredible. Angie and Jessica went through the outfits Angie had helped me pick out and arranged everything neatly and in order. Perry was buzzing around with compliments and humor. It was time to take some pictures. I was nervous, I won't lie, but I wasn't afraid of how the pictures were going to look, Perry's portfolio is full of pictures of all different women of different ages, sizes and shapes and they all look HOT, I was really just nervous about letting go. Letting all the things I hold back out of insecurity, or fear just melt away in that room with the lights and the music and 3 very positive, very creative, and very professional people that day had changed something in me that I am certain is for good. And I have to say, I love it!

The pictures of course are amazing, the album was ready for me to proof in a matter of days, and the finished product in my hands a week sooner then promised. Perry's talent is unmatched, his staff a true compliment to his art. My husband was blown away, not at my physical beauty in the photos, he tells me I am the most beautiful woman in the world all the time, but he could see that I had finally come to believe him in those pictures. For that gift, and for letting me feel like the sexiest woman in sweat pants every day since I thank you all.

Yours truly,

Kandi
